n Installation and Service Technician at La Crosse Sign Group is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of signs, including illuminated signs, non-illuminated signs, digital displays, and more. This role is customer-facing and crucial in maintaining La Crosse Sign’s reputation for superior quality and customer service. The Installation and Service Technician needs to be detail-oriented, with strong technical and critical thinking skills, a high commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented environment with routine exposure to dirt, noise, temperature variance, variable weather conditions, chemicals, and solvents. Works primarily on ladders, scaffolding or aerial lifts that can range from 20’ to over 100’ above ground. Deadline pressure is an integral part of the job with the potential for managing multiple project assignments. Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, and leadership.
Required Work Schedule:
Work hours are generally during normal operational hours 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Thursday with variable hours on Fridays, and an average of at least 40 hours a week. The ability to work overtime, travel overnight and out-of-town is required. There may be small variations in work hours due to special projects, changes in installation schedule to meet customer deadlines, training new and existing staff, and responding to critical service calls.
Physical Requirements:
Will alternate walking, sitting, and standing throughout work shift. Ability to work in a variety of positions including, but not limited to kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing. Must be able to climb and stand on a ladder for periods of time. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at times during the shift. There is regular use of the keyboard, tablets and telephone. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication. Vision acuity corrected to 20/40.
